Saturate all the things!

Trying to get out of my comfort zone/bad habit of staying too desaturated. Even in the first one, you can see my bad tendency. Though the form on that one is terrible anyway.

Graphic Design, yo.

Was requested to do logo mockups, did 50. This is where my painting time was used. Still very love/hate with graphic design, it's amusing.

And a goddamn panda, too.

Oh, hey!

Apparently I never got around to adding the designs for the other half of my Color Theory project, scroll down (or go to the post on May 5th) to see the post updated if you're interested!

I was working the whole time, I promise!

Some days were just irritating, and things got deleted. Here's some of what I've got, including my most recent effort, a portrait that took far too long but came out pretty nicely.

I spent far too many hours trying to get his glance's angle correct, dear god. I think I might rework the eyebrows a little, though.

--

This actually isn't anything recent, just a series of desert-esque thumbnails I made that I ran across not too long ago, I might try to work with them soon.

Anatomy study with a quick duplicate and paintover just to try and visualize how light would fall on the figure. Based it on a reference with reinforcement from various books (habit I'm trying to get into.)

--

Anatomy study, moreso on focusing on the muscles as plains, done from a reference. Since I was focusing on muscles, I just blocked in the head that was wrapped in some strange bandage. The lack of blending makes the skin look a little metallic, though. Blah.

Fun times. School is closer than I'd like it to be (but isn't it always?), but I'm gonna be working my ass off in life drawing, couldn't be more thrilled. I feel like I'm ahead of the game sometimes, but I know there's so much more to go, so it's not all that reassuring.

Ugh.

That art block lasted too long. Back to climbing the steep mountain named Progress.
